The DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: North America continues as MiBR will battle it out with Chaos. MiBR fell to FURIA in their first match of the tournament while Chaos upset Team Liquid to open the event. This is sure to be an exciting bout between two good teams.
The DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: North America is broken into two stages, Group Stage which is currently taking place and Playoffs. The event features eight teams from the North American region. During the Group Stage, the teams are split into two groups and take place in a round-robin style bracket featuring best-of-three map matches. The winners of each group will move into the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs while second and third place will move into the Lower Bracket.
The Brazilian powerhouse MiBR enters this contest ranking 15th in the world. They ran into a wall when they met FURIA last time out, falling 2-0. This result isn't always typical though as they feature a tough roster full of veterans. MiBR could use a big win here in order to get them headed back in the right direction.
Chaos shocked many when they upset one of the world's best teams in Team Liquid to open the tournament. They are ranked 53rd in the world and feature a roster of Canadian and United States players. Chaos entered the event as a replacement for Bad News Bears who disbanded, and they plan to take advantage of their opportunity.
I am on the underdog in this bout. MiBR has been shaky lately, and Chaos is coming off of a huge win. They were selected as a replacement for a disbanded team, and they have the feel-good story everyone enjoys rooting for. After their big upset, they know they can beat anyone. This won't translate well for MiBR. Chaos will take them down also and remain undefeated in the tournament.
